The journey begins with a short tour of the garden, where you'll learn about the plant and its cultivation, and see firsthand the process of making indigo paste until it is ready to use as a natural dye. After that, you'll join a hands-on session making shibori, the distinctive Japanese fold-and-bind cloth technique that creates unique patterns. The workshop is guided by a maker from Puspita Batik and takes place in Poncosari, Srandakan, Bantul. This workshop lasts 5-6 hours and is suitable for beginners, craft lovers, travelers, and anyone who wants to start a business in wastra (traditional Indonesian textiles). Notes for this workshop: 1.
