Kriyanesa, in collaboration with Bersukaria Walking Tour, invites you to explore the Krapyak neighborhood of Yogyakarta in a different way. On foot, discover the history and heritage buildings, see firsthand the process of making lurik woven fabric, and then create a craft piece from lurik fabric scraps. We will begin the journey by walking through the small alleys of the kampung and getting to know more closely the stories and local life around the Dibyo Lurik studio. You will be invited to see directly how lurik weaving is made, from dyeing the threads to weaving. After that, we will continue to Panggung Krapyak, one of the important buildings in Yogyakarta's history. Not only will you be invited to observe, you will also take part in a hands-on craft workshop, making accessories from lurik fabric scraps with one of Jogja's jewelry artisans, Act Handmade Jewelry. Leftover fabric that might look simple will be transformed into a new object you can take home. And of course, there is time to hunt for and shop for lurik fabric directly from Dibyo Lurik using a shopping voucher you can redeem right away. This Walking Tour is special because you can take home not only souvenirs, but also the stories behind the fabric. Things to note for this activity: 1. Arrive on time 2.
